Our Story
Welcome to the Aiken Driving Club! We are a passionate group of driving enthusiasts who love everything about horses and carriages. Our club was founded by Clifford S. Gerde and other Aiken carriage drivers in 1985 to promote and preserve the sport of carriage driving. The club was incorporated in South Carolina in 1993, and we continue to be dedicated to keeping this traditional sport alive. Whether you are a seasoned driver or a beginner, compete or drive for recreation, our club offers a welcoming and supportive community where you can learn, compete, socialize and have fun.
