I request permission to participate and fully understand that carriage driving is a very dangerous activity. I wish to participate in these activities knowing that they are dangerous. I accept and assume responsibility for knowledge of safe driving practices, the safety of my equipment and all the risks of accidents, damage, and/or injury (including death) to me or my property.

In exchange for being permitted to participate in these activities, for myself, my heirs, guardians and representatives, I release and agree not to make or bring claim of any kind against The Aiken Driving Club, officers, the organizing committee, members, guests or any land owners, landholders or other persons making property available for The Aiken Driving Club, for any injury (including death), to me or any damage to myproperty whether from anyone’s negligence or not, or any other cause, arising from my participation in these dangerous activities; and I also agree if anyone makes any claims because of any injury to me (including death), or for any damage to my property, I will keep all those released by this agreement free of any damages or costs because of those claim

I further understand that neither the Aiken Driving Club, its officers, the organizing committee, nor the property owners accept any responsibility for accidents, damages, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, drivers, employees, attendants, spectators or any representatives, and I make these entries at my own risk. Warning – “Under South Carolina law, an equine activity sponsor or equine professional is not liable for an injury to or death of a participant in an equine activity resulting from the inherent risk of equine activity pursuant to Article 7, Chapter 9 of Title 47 Code of Laws of South Carolina 1976.”

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY: As a condition of and in consideration of acceptance of entry, the Aiken

Club and/or this Event may use or assign photographs, videos, audios, cablecasts, broadcasts, internet, film, new media or other likenesses of me, my horse and any passengers taken during the course of this Event for the promotion, coverage or benefit of the Event, sport, or the Aiken Driving Club.
